Marking 25 years of independence with His Excellency Kenneth Kaunda

Marking 25 years of independence: His Excellency Kenneth Kaunda received an award as a gesture of appreciating his immense contribution to the liberation struggle that led to the independence of Zimbabwe. Zambia accommodated Zimbabwean refugees, combatants and gave political, moral and financial support to the struggle. In addition many Zambians paid the ultimate price when Rhodesians bombed their northern neighbour from time to time for supporting the struggle.
